ABOUT CCBT
When a parent or guardian hears a diagnosis for the first time, it can be difficult to hear. After the initial emotions wear off, many times the next step is finding resources that can help their child.
But, what happens when those resources just aren't there? Or when some of the resources are available, but they are spread out all over the area causing families to spend much of their time in the car? What about when parents read about all the resources available near a larger city, but not in their rural area? And if a parent is successful at finding resources, how well will they be able to collaborate if they are spread out all over a three-county area?
These questions speak to the heart of why Collaborative Care Behavioral Therapy (CCBT) was born in 2020. Our founder and CEO, Brittany McDonald, BCBA, saw the need in our area, not only for effective ABA therapy, but for so much more.
The future goal of CCBT is to offer comprehensive services to children and young adults - including ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapies. We want clients to be able to receive all of the resources in one place so that true collaboration can happen between all of the professionals working with the clients. Our clients and their families can get some of their lives back by not having to travel all over West Central Ohio for services.
Presently, CCBT can offer home-based, center-based, and school-based ABA therapy to clients in much of West Central Ohio. Until our practice can grow to what we see in our future, we are willing and able to collaborate with speech, occupational, and physical therapists to make sure that we are all working toward the same goals. We see that the success of our clients is greater when the entire therapy team, including all of the professionals and family members, can communicate and collaborate.
OUR SERVICES
CCBT currently offers the following services to individuals who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other applicable developmental disabilities between the ages of 2 and 22.
Center-Based ABA Therapy
Center-based ABA therapy is conducted at the CCBT center in downtown Wapakoneta, OH. Clients will receive group therapy and one-on-one therapy all in one location! The program that was developed from the ABA evaluation is carried out by a team of BTs, RBTs, BCaBAs, and BCBAs.
Home-Based ABA Therapy
Home-based ABA therapy is conducted in the client's own home. The program that was developed from the ABA evaluation is carried out by a team of BTs, RBTs, BCaBAs, and BCBAs.
Parent & Staff Training
Home-based ABA therapy is conducted in the client's own home. The program that was developed from the ABA evaluation is carried out by a team of BTs, RBTs, BCaBAs, and BCBAs.
FBA & BIP
An FBA (Functional Behavioral Assessment) and a BIP (Behavior Intervention Plan) is conducted in the client's school or home by a BCBA to develop a plan tailored specifically for the client's needs.

Collaboration
Collaboration is at the heart of what CCBT is all about. We are eager and willing to collaborate with any therapy professionals or school staff that your child or loved one is working with outside of ABA therapy. All we need is your written permission and a willingness from the other professionals.
